Professional Colour Change Services

Professional colour change and product retouching services, from $0.99 an image. One photograph, every colourway. We recolour products and garments so the new shade keeps the fabric texture, the shadows and the material behaviour of the original — which is what separates a real variant from an obvious paint job. From $0.99 an image, within 24 hours.

The service

What Is a Colour Change Service?

Recolouring a product in Photoshop so the result is indistinguishable from a photograph of the real item in that colour — texture, shadow, highlight and material response all preserved.

One shoot, every variant

Photographing eight colourways means eight sample requests, eight setups and eight edits. Recolouring one frame produces the same eight listings at a fraction of the cost.

Texture survives the change

A recolour that fills a selection kills the weave. Ours works through the luminosity of the original so denim still reads as denim and satin still catches light like satin.

Matched to a real reference

Send a Pantone code, a hex value, a swatch photograph or an approved sample image, and the output is matched to it rather than to a guess.

Faster than a reshoot

A colourway that would take a week to sample, ship and shoot comes back the next working day, which is often the difference between launching on time and not.

How it works

How Our Colour Change Service Works

Four steps from raw frames to listing-ready files, with no account setup in between.

Step 01

Send the file and the reference

The photograph plus your target colours — Pantone, hex, a swatch photo or an approved sample image.

Step 02

Manual recolouring

A named retoucher masks the product and rebuilds the colour through the original luminosity, by hand.

Step 03

Quality control

A second editor checks the match against your reference and confirms texture and shadow survived.

Step 04

Delivery

Every variant returns within 24 hours, named to your convention. Revisions are unlimited.

What we edit

Our Specialised Colour Change Services

From a single shade correction to a full colourway range built from one frame. Drag any slider to see the real file, before and after.

Product Colour Change

Any hard product recoloured to a target shade — electronics, packaging, furniture, footwear, accessories — with gloss, reflection and material response rebuilt so the new colour behaves like the real thing.

  • Matched to Pantone or hex
  • Gloss and reflections rebuilt
  • Material behaviour preserved
  • Any hard-goods category

Garment & Fabric Colour Change

Clothing recoloured with the weave intact. Fabric is the hardest case: fill a selection and denim turns to plastic, so the colour is rebuilt through the original texture and shadow instead.

  • Weave and texture kept intact
  • Denim, knit, satin, leather
  • Seams and stitching recoloured separately
  • Drape and shadow preserved

Colour Variant Sets

A full colourway range generated from a single photograph, delivered as a consistent set so every variant on the listing page shares the same lighting, crop and shadow.

  • Whole range from one frame
  • Consistent lighting across variants
  • Named to your SKU convention
  • Delivered as one batch

Colour Matching & Correction

Where the photograph is simply wrong rather than a different colour: studio cast removed, white balance fixed and the shade brought back to the physical product.

  • Studio colour cast removed
  • White balance corrected
  • Matched to the physical sample
  • Fewer colour-related returns

Tint & White Balance Adjustment

Whole-image colour work: mixed lighting reconciled, tints neutralised and a consistent temperature applied across a batch shot over several days.

  • Mixed lighting reconciled
  • Tints and casts neutralised
  • One temperature across a batch
  • Shot-over-days sets unified

Complex Colour Replacement

Multi-part products where each component needs its own colour: patterned fabrics, two-tone footwear, printed packaging and anything where a single mask will not do.

  • Per-component colour control
  • Patterns and prints handled
  • Two-tone and multi-material goods
  • Layered PSD supplied

When to use it

When to Use a Colour Change Service

Recolouring is worth ordering when one of these five is true — and cheaper than a reshoot in every one of them. All five are quoted against a physical reference rather than a screen colour, because a hex value and a dyed fabric are not the same thing.

List the colourway before it exists

The usual reason. A garment or product is photographed once and the rest of the range is built from it, which removes a shoot day per colour and, more usefully, removes the drift between them — nine recoloured variants are provably the same photograph, where nine shoots never quite are. Send us the physical swatch or the reference and the colour is matched to that rather than to a screen.

List before the samples land

Production runs on a longer timetable than marketing. Where a single prototype exists, the rest of the range can be built from it so listings, line sheets and pre-orders are ready the day stock arrives instead of a fortnight after. The risk to manage is that the recoloured image has to match what eventually ships, which is why this is quoted against a physical reference rather than a hex value.

The photograph is the wrong colour

A mis-photographed product is a returns problem before it is an aesthetic one: the buyer receives something that is not what they saw. Recolouring corrects the item to its real shade where a white-balance adjustment would drag the whole frame with it, and the fix is on the product only, leaving background and shadow untouched.

A catalogue that no longer agrees with itself

Imagery accumulated over seasons, studios and photographers will not share a black, and a collection page shows that immediately even when no individual image looks wrong. Recolouring to one target brings the set into line, including last season’s photography and anything a supplier sent you, without reshooting a range that is otherwise fine.

See the colour before committing to the run

Deciding a colourway from a fabric swatch or a Pantone chip is deciding on something other than the product. Recolouring the actual photograph shows the shade on the real material with its real texture and highlights, which is a cheaper way to find out that a colour goes flat on that fabric than a production run is.

Who we work with

Who Uses Our Colour Change Service

Anyone who sells the same shape in more than one colour. What differs is whether the variants are colourways, finish options, or a deadline.

Ranges sold as colourways

Apparel, footwear and accessories are the core case: a few shapes, many colours, and photography as the largest avoidable cost in the catalogue. Multi-material products — a two-tone trainer, a bag with contrast trim — are recoloured per component, so the upper can change while the sole and stitching stay exactly as photographed.

Products sold as finish options

Furniture, homeware, fittings and vehicle trim are bought as combinations rather than as items, and photographing every combination stops being possible past a handful. One photograph of each shape plus recolouring covers the matrix, and keeps every option lit identically, which is exactly what a customer comparing two finishes is trying to judge.

Retailers with variant listings to fill

Marketplace and storefront variants need an image per option or the listing looks incomplete, and buyers hesitate on the ones with no picture. Parent and child images are matched to a single standard so switching between swatches on a product page changes the colour and nothing else — no shift in crop, shadow or angle.

Agencies working inside a campaign deadline

Recolouring existing assets for a promotion is nearly always faster than a reshoot and often the only option once the product has shipped. Turnaround is the constraint rather than volume, and the files come back layered so a designer can adjust the target without coming back to us.

Photographers selling variant sets

Offering a client the full colour range from one shoot is a way to charge for post-production rather than absorb it, and it makes the shoot itself easier to sell. Delivered white-label under your studio name, in your naming convention, with nothing identifying us in the files.

Why it converts

Why Colour Variants Sell

A colour a buyer cannot see is a colour they do not buy, however clearly it is described in the listing text.

Buyers shop by colour first

Colour is the filter most shoppers apply before anything else. A variant with no image of its own is effectively missing from the results they see.

Reshoots do not scale

Every extra colourway means another sample, another setup and another edit. Recolouring turns a linear cost into a fixed one.

Listings launch before stock does

Variants can be photographed from a prototype and listed while production runs, so the page is live the day inventory lands.

Accuracy is what stops the return

A recolour matched to a real reference ships the same colour the buyer chose. A guessed one produces exactly the return a variant image was meant to prevent.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Prices and turnaround on this page were last reviewed in August 2026.

Will the recoloured image look real?

That is the whole test. The colour is rebuilt through the luminosity and texture of the original rather than filled into a selection, so weave, gloss, shadow and highlight all behave the way they did in the photograph. A fill looks flat immediately; this does not.

How do I specify the colour I want?

A Pantone code, a hex value, a photograph of a physical swatch, or an approved image of the product in that colour. Any of them works. A physical reference gives the most accurate result, because it shows how the material actually behaves in that shade.

Can you recolour fabric without losing the texture?

Yes, and fabric is the case this service exists for. Denim, knitwear, satin, velvet and leather each respond to light differently, so the recolour is built through the original texture rather than over it.

Can you create a full set of colourways from one photo?

Yes, and it is the most common order. Send one photograph and the target colours, and the whole range comes back as a consistent set sharing the same lighting, crop and shadow, named to your SKU convention.

Can you recolour only part of a product?

Yes. Multi-part products are masked component by component, so a sole can change without the upper, or a trim without the body. Complex cases are delivered as a layered PSD so you can adjust further.

What kinds of products can you recolour?

Apparel and footwear, furniture and home goods, electronics, packaging, automotive parts and accessories. Highly reflective and transparent items are possible but priced as complex work — send a sample and we will confirm.

What is your turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is 24 hours for most orders, and 24–48 hours for complex or high-volume work. For large variant sets we agree a delivery timeline upfront and meet it. Rush editing is available.

Do you handle bulk colour change orders?

Yes. Capacity runs to 8,000 images a day, and your colour references are recorded per account so a repeat order months later matches the first exactly.

Do you deliver layered PSD files?

Yes, on request, and we recommend it for multi-part work. The layered file lets your team adjust an individual component later without coming back to us.

Will the colour match across every variant image?

Yes. All variants of a product are produced in one pass from the same master file, so lighting, crop, shadow and the colour treatment itself stay identical across the set.

Is there a minimum order?

No. You can send a single image, or start with the free trial of three. There is no minimum quantity and no sign-up required.

What if the colour is not right?

Unlimited free revisions are included. Tell us how it differs from your reference and we adjust until it matches. If revisions still do not resolve it, a money-back guarantee applies.
