Furniture Image Editing & Retouching Services
Professional furniture image editing and retouching for catalogues, from $0.50 an image. Furniture is photographed in a room and sold in a grid. Between those two things sits the edit: a clean background, an honest fabric colour and a shadow that puts the piece on the floor rather than floating above it. From $0.50 an image, within 24 hours. Pixel Retouching has edited furniture catalogues since 2014, from ISO-certified studios in Singapore and Dhaka.

What Is Furniture Image Editing?
Preparing furniture photography for a catalogue or listing page: background cleaned, colour made accurate, shadows rebuilt and every angle of a piece brought to the same standard.
Colour accuracy decides returns
Furniture is expensive to ship back. A sofa that arrives a different shade of grey than the listing showed is the most costly return in the category, and it starts as a colour cast in the photograph.
Angles have to match
A piece shot from four sides across two sessions will drift in brightness and colour. On a product page those four images sit side by side, where any drift is obvious.
Shadows put it on the floor
A cut-out sofa with no shadow looks pasted onto the page. A correct contact shadow is what makes it read as an object with weight sitting in a real space.
Scale has to be believable
Buyers judge size from the photograph before they read the dimensions. Consistent framing and perspective across a range is what makes that judgement possible.

Background Cleanup & Replacement
Showroom clutter, props and studio surroundings removed, and the piece placed on clean white or a background of your choosing, with a hand-drawn path around legs, arms and open frames.
- Showroom clutter removed
- Hand-drawn paths around legs and frames
- Pure white or custom backgrounds
- Transparent PNG on request
Brightness & Contrast Correction
Underlit showroom shots brought up to catalogue brightness without flattening the piece, so upholstery keeps its depth and wood keeps its grain.
- Showroom lighting corrected
- Fabric depth retained
- Wood grain kept visible
- Even brightness across the range
Shadow Creation at Volume
Natural contact and drop shadows built under each piece so it sits on the page rather than floating, applied consistently across a whole catalogue rather than image by image.
- Contact shadows under legs
- Consistent direction across the range
- Reflections for glass and gloss
- Built at catalogue volume
Colour Balance & Fabric Accuracy
Mixed showroom lighting reconciled and upholstery matched to the physical swatch, because fabric colour is the single biggest cause of furniture returns.
- Matched to the physical swatch
- Mixed lighting reconciled
- Wood tones corrected honestly
- Fewer colour-related returns
Drop Shadow & Floating Effects
Floating and drop shadow treatments for hero images and banners, where a piece needs to lift off the page rather than sit flat against it.
- Floating shadow for hero images
- Soft, believable falloff
- Banner and campaign artwork
- Matched across a product family

Why Furniture Imagery Is Unforgiving
It is a high-value, high-return category bought entirely on the strength of a photograph.
Returns are expensive here
A returned sofa costs a retailer far more than a returned shirt. Accurate fabric colour in the listing is one of the cheapest ways to reduce that cost.
Buyers compare angles side by side
Product pages show four to eight views at once. If brightness or colour drifts between them, the piece looks poorly made even when it is not.
A floating cut-out reads as cheap
Furniture without a contact shadow looks weightless. On an expensive item that undermines the price the page is asking for.
Ranges have to look like ranges
When a whole collection shares one background, one brightness and one shadow direction, it reads as a designed range rather than a set of separate photographs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you match upholstery colour to the real fabric?
Yes, and it is the most important edit in this category. Send a Pantone code, a hex value or a photograph of the physical swatch and the image is matched to it, which is what stops colour-related returns.
Can you keep every angle of a product consistent?
Yes. All angles of one piece are edited in a single pass from the same settings, so brightness, colour and shadow direction stay identical across the four to eight views on a product page.
Do you add shadows to cut-out furniture?
Yes. Natural contact shadows are built under the legs and base so the piece sits on the page rather than floating. Drop and floating shadows are available for hero images and banners.
Can you cut out chairs with thin legs and open frames?
Yes, by hand. Open frames, spindles, thin metal legs and woven backs are exactly where automatic background removal fails, so every path is drawn manually.
Can you create colour variants of a sofa or chair?
Yes. Additional upholstery colourways are generated from one photograph, with the weave and shadow of the original fabric preserved, so the whole range can be listed from a single shoot.
Can you remove showroom clutter and props?
Yes. Surrounding furniture, props, cables, floor marks and studio surroundings are all removed, and the piece is placed on white or any background you specify.
Can you edit 360-degree furniture sets?
Yes. Full rotation sets are edited to one consistent standard across every frame, which matters more here than on a single image because any drift shows as a flicker when the set spins.
Do you handle bulk catalogue work?
Yes. Capacity runs to 8,000 images a day, and your catalogue standard — background, brightness, shadow direction, crop — is recorded once and applied to every batch that follows.
Can you correct crooked verticals on tall pieces?
Yes. Wardrobes, shelving and cabinetry are straightened so verticals are true and doors align, which is what makes a tall piece look properly built.
What is your turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 24 hours for most orders, and 24–48 hours for large catalogue batches and 360-degree sets. Rush editing is available for urgent deadlines.
What formats do you deliver?
JPEG, PNG with transparency, TIFF and PSD, at whatever dimensions your catalogue, marketplace or print layout requires. Tell us once and every delivery follows it.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can send a single image, or start with the free trial of three. There is no minimum quantity and no sign-up required.
